One thing I’ve been working through in my head is how to use the IR controlled Lutron Maestro dimmer in my bedroom as a sunrise alarm clock. I’ll need to sample the IR codes sent by the remote, figure out how to generate them with a microcontroller, and then trigger it to send those codes at the appropriate time of day.
